Leadership Training

Leadership doesn’t come easy. Every business organization understands its importance, and its benefits to overall business. Leadership we know, is not a destination but a journey. Insite exhibits its calibre in delivering Leadership workshops through 3 categories 0f programs:

  • Situational Leadership
  • Personal Leadership
  • First Time Managers

Situational Leadership:

Situational Leadership model as created by Ken Blanchard and Paul Hersey proves insightful, and renders incredible awakening, regarding authentic ways for dealing with a team, exhibiting varying extent of Will and Skill.

Even though the model enlightens learners theoretically of managing teams better, it takes quite an effort to design, create a practical and dynamic courseware, that benefits learners with a variety of specific skills and takeaways, and also extend the model as not just theoretical, but applicable too. That is exactly where Insite has been successful, considering its Situational Leadership program

Focus on Coaching Skills:

Insite finds the skill of Coaching, crucial to master the application of Situational Leadership. The model suggests Coaching as the prescribed means to deal with High Will team members. We have found in our experience; learners when introduced to the model are highly appreciative of this skill and enthused to apply coaching when dealing with their team.

Focus on Motivating Skills:

We find it essential to train learners on Motivating Skills to deal with High Skill/Low Will team members as suggested by the model. Our learners are trained to improve their perceptivity by efficiently reasoning with demotivated team members through collaborative discussions. They are trained to assume an approach of deep enquiry and trust building than to resort to any cheap tricks or impractical techniques for team motivation.

Focus on Effective Delegation of Tasks:

Situation Leadership Workshops are a great opportunity to master effective delegators of tasks. We find most learners lack absolute clarity regarding parameters to be considered, to make absolute delegation of tasks. Our workshop ensures, learners practice in considering all essential parameters when delegating tasks to team members.

Overall, our Situational Leadership Workshop has gone through many a tinkering and trial before it evolved as a highly skill focused workshop, on the premise of a popular and genius of a Leadership model.

Personal Leadership:

Leadership begins with Personal Development. This program can be taken both by learners in leadership roles or even if not. However, it is recommended for individual contributors aspiring to take up future leadership roles. The workshop is split into 2 parts: Raising the Bar & Result Orientation.

Raising the Bar:

We believe it’s the fundamental attitude of being a leader at all costs. Simply said, a constant and insatiable passion to become better than ever. The workshop introduces learners, Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle Model. The model effectively illustrating the significance of questioning the ‘Why’ as against the What and the How of our working life, and also its practical relevance grounded in human biology, to convince that leadership begins with a strong ‘ ‘Purpose’ to fulfil at workplace.

The 2nd aspect covers developing capability for Perceptiveness, a quality that is required to experience, shifts in paradigms to understand and deal with environment and people better.

The 3rd element covered is the virtue of ‘stretching’. We know amazing feats are achieved not because of intelligence and genius alone, but because of the human ability to persist a little more. This aspect is addressed for learners, to understand the huge gap which exists between our own Potential and Self Image.

Result Orientation:

Result Orientation commences with orientation on significance of Focus. Focus is the driving factor for success. Its alternative term being ‘Attention’. Where there is Attention, there will be triumph.

The 2nd aspect addressed under this part is the attitude of Operating from Control. We borrow quite adequately from Steven Covey’s illustration of Circle of Influence to drive the point of leadership benefiting from this incredible attitude. Learning aspects related to understanding differences between Pro-active and Re-active behaviours are well absorbed by learners through the principle.

The 3rd aspect addressed in this section is importance of Goal Setting and Outcome Thinking.

The 4th aspect is the final one covering Ownership and Accountability, being the 2 pillars on which Personal Leadership thrives.

The workshop is robustly designed with relevant group activities and exercises in order to make the learning lively and hands-on

First Time Managers:

First time managers no doubt go through a tumultuous transition from being independent contributors to people managers. It takes a while to realize that parameters which helped grow in their careers till then, become less significant. New skills are to be honed to manage people and get work done. A different ball-game all together

To make it comfortable for such learners to accustom to their new roles, we design the First Time Managers course with insights helping them realize, what to expect and skills that can be applied to manage their teams effectively.

Aspects covered in the workshop are as below:

  • The various functions and responsibilities of a Manager
